Pre-Myopia: What do we know, what do we need to understand better, and how can we contribute to the solution?

Managing children at risk for myopia can be challenging. While risk factors such as having one or more myopic parents or a refractive error less hyperopic than +0.75 D before age 8 can help identify children likely to develop myopia, providers have historically had few evidence-based recommendations beyond monitoring and waiting.
