iSee Program

The in School Eye Exam (iSEE) program provides eye exams to students identified by school nurses as needing follow-up vision care. The Ohio Optometric Foundation works in conjunction with school districts to organize a two-day event in the school that provides eye exams and eyewear at no charge to students who are at risk academically because they need eye care.

Studies show that nearly 50% of the students who do not pass school vision screenings do not receive the needed follow up care. The iSee program bridges that gap by bringing the eye examinations and eyewear directly to the schools.

iSee events are provided at no cost. The services, equipment, and custom eyewear are generously donated. Doctors and staff volunteer their time to provide the exams and Information for follow-up care if needed.

Upcoming iSee Events:

October 19-20, 2016 – Vinton County Local Schools

November 30-December 1, 2016 – Rossford Exempted Village Schools, Wood County
